Right Fuel Level Sensor

  1. Right fuel level sensor clipped into floor holder

  1. Right connection unit with pressure regulator
  2. Left connection unit with fuel filter
  1. Disconnect all connections apart from the fuel line -3-  on the underside of the right connection unit.
  2. The fuel line -3-  cannot be disconnected from the pressure regulator (right connection unit).

  3. Disconnect the fuel line -3-  from the left connection unit.

  4. Attach a piece of wire or similar item to the fuel line in order to pull the line back through the fuel tank during installation.
  5. Remove the right connection unit (with pressure regulator) completely.
  6. To make it easier to remove the sensor, remove the fuel pump by pulling it upwards. → Removing Fuel Pump  - section on "Removing"
  7. Press the retaining spring on the sensor by hand while at the same time pulling the sensor up. →  Fig 6  Removing fuel level sensor

    1. Left sucking jet pump and holder clipped into floor holder
    2. Left fuel level sensor clipped into floor holder

    1. Right connection unit with pressure regulator
    2. Left connection unit with fuel filter
  8. Unplug electric plug connection -1-  for the fuel filter.

  9. Pull both lines -2 and 3 -  off the fuel filter.

  10. Press the retaining spring on the sensor by hand while at the same time pulling the sensor up -arrow-  .
