The procedure for removing the left and right cylinder head cover is the same. Illustration shows only the left side.
RoW vehicles:
- Remove hose for positive crankcase ventilation -arrow-
by pressing the release buttons.
Unscrew screws for the left cylinder head cover in the sequence -1... 12 - and remove cylinder head cover.

Danger of violation of exhaust emission legislation on USA vehicles.
- Do not open hose connection!
- Unscrew screws for the left cylinder head cover in the sequence -1... 12 - and set cylinder head cover together with the connected positive crankcase ventilation hose -arrow- aside.
