Removing Timing-Case Cover

NOTE:
Timing-case cover removed incorrectly
- Risk of damage to seal between oil pan and crankcase
- Risk of engine leaks
→ Always reseal the oil pan when removing the timing-case cover.
- Remove deflection rollers -1, 4-
and belt tensioner -2-
.
- 1.1. Lever off the deflection roller covers.
- 1.2. Unscrew the belt tensioner screws -3- and the deflection roller screws.
- 1.3. Remove belt tensioner and deflection rollers.
- Disconnect positive crankcase vent lines from the holders.
- Disconnect cable duct -1-
from the timing-case cover.
- 3.1. Remove screw -2- .
- Remove timing-case cover.
- 4.1. Loosen screws in the sequence -30 - 1- .
- 4.2. Remove screws -1 - 30- .
- 4.3. Carefully lift off the timing-case cover. Lever off if necessary.
