With Engine Installed →

Remove high-pressure pump on cylinder bank 5 to 8. → 246319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP
Pull off cable plug on solenoid valve for valve lift switchover.
Remove vacuum pump on cylinder bank 1 to 4. → 477619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING VACUUM PUMP
Pull off cable plug on solenoid valve for valve lift switchover.
If Cylinder Head Is Replaced →
Remove screw plug with sealing ring. -1-

1. Screw plug on secondary-air duct; if re-used: → Tightening Torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
