Removing Wire Harness For Power Seats

→ Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche .
The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed .
Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts .

Disconnecting Electric Plug Connections:

Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- for suction fan for seat surface.
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- for footwell lighting and release wire harness from the seat frame.
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1- for seat adjustment motor.
Unclip bracket for seat heating connector -2- from the seat frame.
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3- for the belt lock. → 692419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT BELT LOCK
Unclip bracket for belt lock connector -3- from the seat frame.
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -5- for backrest heating. → 721919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT BACKREST FRAME
Unclip bracket for connector for backrest heating -5- from the seat frame.
Release and disconnect electric plug connections -6- for backrest wire harness (2 connectors). → 721919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT BACKREST FRAME
Unclip two brackets for connectors for backrest wire harness -6- from the seat frame.
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -7- for motor for rear vertical adjustment.
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -8- for motor for front vertical adjustment.
Release and disconnect electric plug connections -9- for control unit for memory seat adjustment (three connectors). → 729319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR MEMORY SEAT ADJUSTMENT
Unscrew fastening screw on bracket for control unit for memory seat adjustment and seat-surface extension and remove bracket from the catches on the seat frame. → 740819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SEAT-SURFACE EXTENSION
If fitted:
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -12- for seat occupancy detection.
Unclip bracket for connector for seat occupancy detection -12- from the seat frame.
Loosening fastening points:
Disconnect electric line from bracket -1- on seat adjustment motor.

Unclip fixing clips -2 - 5- .
Disconnect electric line from bracket -6- on control unit.
