Removing Wiring For Backrest

- Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche .
- The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed .
- Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts

- Two Connectors For Backrest Wire Harness
- Connector For Motor For Air Cushion
- Connector For Control Valve For Air Cushion
- Two Connectors For Lumbar Support
- Connector For Motor For Backrest Adjustment
- Release and disconnect two electric plug connections -1- for the backrest wire harness. → 721919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT BACKREST FRAME
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2- for the air cushion motor. → 723919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING MOTOR FOR AIR CUSHION
- Unscrew two fastening screws for the backrest air cushion. → 721719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR CUSHION FOR FRONT BACKREST
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3- for control valve for air cushion. → 723819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL VALVE FOR AIR CUSHION
- Release and disconnect two electric plug connections -4- for lumbar support. → 723419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LUMBAR SUPPORT
- Release and disconnect electric plug connection -5- for motor for backrest adjustment.
- Cut open tie-wrap -1- on the backrest frame.
