Removing Wire Harness For Extending/Retracting Trailer Hitch

Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

→ Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Cut tie-wrap -1- .

Open up cover of socket housing -1- and unscrew fastening screws -2- .

Push rubber sleeve -3- back from the socket housing in direction of arrow.

Disengage catches -4- on the socket housing -1- using a suitable tool -arrows- and pull off socket housing -1- (-arrow A- ).

Remove connector -5- with rubber sleeve -3- from the mounting -arrow- .

Cut tie-wrap -1- .

Release electric plug connection -2- (-arrow a- ) and disconnect it -arrow B- .
Unclip electric wire harness -1- .

Unscrew fastening screw -1- from the connector holder.

Release electric plug connection on the holder -2- at both sides -arrows a and disconnect it -arrow B- .

Release electric plug connection on the trailer hitch control unit -2- (-arrow a- ) and disconnect it -arrow B- .

Press rubber sleeve -3- outwards -arrow- and pull wire harness -4- through the opening.
