Disassembling Rear Lid

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 
• These must be carried out as a mirror image of the steps shown. 

1. Loosen supports for rubber stop at the sides by turning them 90° with a screwdriver and remove them.

2. Unclip water drains at the bottom -1-  .

3. Remove adjusting elements.
   1. 3.1. Mark the position of both parts of the adjusting element -1 - 2-  with respect to each other.

   2. 3.2. Loosen fastening screws -3-  and remove adjusting element.
4. Unclip brackets for wire harness -1-  at the locking mechanisms -2-  using a screwdriver and remove them.

5. Pull brackets for wire harness out of the two locking mechanisms -A, B-  .

6. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  on the bracket for the pneumatic spring -1-  .

7. Remove number plate bracket if necessary.
8. Drill out blind rivets -2-  on bracket for rear spoiler -1-  .

9. Unclip guides for wire harness -1-  using a screwdriver -2-  .
