Removing Wing Strut

Remove lock carrier. → REMOVING LOCK CARRIER - section on "Removing"
Remove headlight mounting bracket.
1. 2.1. Unscrew screws -1- and remove bracket -2- .

Loosen welded joints for wing strut on lower longitudinal member.
Information

Drill out spotweld A through three plate thicknesses.
1. 3.1. Drill out spotweld -A- .

  Drill out spotwelds B on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath!
2. 3.2. Drill out spotwelds -B- .
3. 3.3. Grind down MIG seams -C- .
Loosen welded joints for wing strut on longitudinal member for wheel housing upper section.
1. 4.1. Drill out spotwelds -A- using Spotweld Drill .
