Preparing Connection Areas Of The Body For Installing Wing Strut

Clean welding and sealing areas.
1. 1.1. Clean the body connecting flange in the marked areas to remove underbody protection and paint.

2. 1.2. Drill holes -1- for plug-welding using inert gas at the wheel housing using an 8.0-mm drill bit.
3. 1.3. Drill out hole -2- for plug-welding using inert gas on the lower longitudinal member using an 8.0-mm drill bit.
4. 1.4. Grind connecting flanges until bare on both sides.
Coat all spot-weld flange areas with zinc powder paint.
