Installing Front Anti-Roll Bar (PDCC)

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Information

All screws and threaded joints on the axle must be tightened in vehicle position. Vehicle position means: vehicle standing on its wheels or the wheel suspension is raised with a universal vehicle lift. Measurement -1- from the lower edge of the wing to the middle of the vehicle axle corresponds to vehicle position. The current height values can be found in → 4495TW ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT . Always observe the following points!

On vehicles with air springs, the respective air spring must be bled using the Porsche System Tester . → 4301IN BLEEDING AND FILLING THE LEVELLING SYSTEM
Screws and nuts are Geomet-coated and must not be greased .

Fit the anti-roll-bar mount halves at the correct position on the anti-roll bar. At the correct position means: The larger outer diameter is on the wheel side.

Engage the anti-roll-bar mount halves at the mounting points provided for this purpose -arrow- .

Check the installation position -arrow- of the anti-roll-bar mount halves with respect to the anti-roll bar. Copy the dimensions of the marking -arrow- on the old roll-over bar when installing a new roll-over bar.

Fit the two hose clamps. Tightening torque 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)
Guide in the anti-roll bar.
Install the two clips.
Fit the four fastening screws evenly and tighten hand-tight.
Fit fastening screws securing anti-roll bar to connecting links and tighten hand-tight.
Coat new silent blocks with -1- screw-locking agent Loctite 270 and screw them in.

Clip in and tighten the expansion hose at the two fastening points -arrows- .

Fit the two steel flexi-pipes. The markings must be aligned precisely during installation -arrows- .

Tighten fastening screws on the anti-roll bar. Tightening torque 60 Nm (44 ftlb.)
Tighten fastening screws on the connecting links. Tightening torque 90 Nm (67 ftlb.) +90°
If installed: Tighten the fastening screws on the air guide -8- at the left and right. Use a suitable tool to counter the fastening nuts -9- .

Following assembly, check carefully once again that the steel flexi-pipes are not twisted! The toothed rings -arrows- must be positioned on the steel flexi-pipes in such a way that they provide adequate protection in the event of contact with adjacent components.
