Adjusting Wiper Arm Attack Angle

WARNING: Electrically moved components

Danger of limbs being trapped or severed

→ Switch off electric power to drive motor.

→ Make sure it does not switch on again.

→ Check that there is no electric charge.

NOTE: Voltage peaks

Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

→ Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Information

Wiper system must be in the parking position. Before starting work, allow the wiper system to run 2 - 3 times with water spray.

Angle measuring device
Adapter
Angle adjusting tool - holder
Angle adjusting tool - arm bracket

Fit the adapter -B- flush on the wiper arm and secure with the knurled screw.

Fit the angle measuring device -A- on the adapter and secure with the knurled screw.

Read off wiper arm angle of attack using the angle measuring device and compare with the nominal values.

Wiper position	Nominal angle	Tolerance
Parking position on driver's side	+ 4°	+/- 1°
Parking position on passenger's side	+ 6°	+/- 1°

If the nominal values are not achieved, the wiper arm must be adjusted using the two adjusting tools.
Slide the two angle adjusting tools onto the wiper arm and set the angle as required by turning the front adjusting tool.
