Installing Wiper Motor

WARNING: Electrically moved components

Danger of limbs being trapped or severed

→ Switch off electric power to drive motor.

→ Make sure it does not switch on again.

→ Check that there is no electric charge.

Information

If a new wiper motor is being installed, ensure that the correct Porsche original screws are used .

Before fitting the wiper motor, connect the wiper motor to the electric plug connection, close the bonnet, operate one-touch wipe at least once and let the wiper run to the end position. Disconnect plug connection again.
Switch off ignition and remove remote control from ignition lock.
Position wiper linkage marked -5- on the wiper shaft -arrow- .

Tighten fastening screws -6- until secure. → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)

Tighten fastening nut for the wiper linkage -4- securely. → Tightening torque: 18 Nm (13 ftlb.)

Plug in electric plug connection until it engages securely.

Position wiper system -arrow- . Guide in wiper motor with linkage in a downward direction, slide the wiper linkage to the right, turn it slightly and set it down.

Check that the wiper motor is seated correctly.
Information

Observe the sequence of the five fastening screws in direction of travel.
- 1. Rear left .
- 2. Rear right .
- 3. Rear middle .
- 4. Front right .
- 5. Front middle .
Fit fastening screws -3- for the wiper system and tighten fastening screws. → Tightening torque: 9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)

Clip in engine wire harness.
Before fitting wiper arms, the wiper motor must be operated a second time at least once with one-touch wipe and run to the end position. To do this, close the bonnet.
