Subsequent Work

  1. Install engine guard. → 108019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE GUARD
  2. Install left wheel housing liner. → 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER
  3. Fill in refrigerant in accordance with regulations. → 870317 DRAINING AND FILLING REFRIGERANT 
  4. Install high-voltage line for electric air-conditioning compressor. → 279319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HIGH-VOLTAGE LINE
    1. 4.1. Dry and clean plug connection and angled plug socket on the air-conditioning compressor.
    2. 4.2. Spray plug connection and angled plug socket on the air-conditioning compressor completely with cavity preservation .
  5. Install power electronics. → 279119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING POWER ELECTRONICS
  6. Observe warning notes. → 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
  7. Start the high-voltage system and complete the relevant documentation. → 2X00IN ISOLATING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FROM POWER SUPPLY/STARTING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
  8. If the air-conditioning compressor has been replaced, an air-conditioning compressor run-in  must be carried out using PIWIS Tester II 9818  .
    1. 8.1. Select [Air-conditioning system] control unit
    2. 8.2. [Drive links/checks] must now be selected.
    3. 8.3. [General] can now be selected.
    4. 8.4. [Reset compressor run-in] must now be selected and started.
    5. 8.5. Start the engine.
    6. 8.6. [Compressor run-in] must be selected and started.
  9. Check the cooling performance using the front blower outlet sensor.
    1. 9.1. Open the air outlet vents on the dashboard and set the fan to at least 75%.
  10. Switch off the air-conditioning system again. Do not drive until the air-conditioning system has been filled.
