Removing Control Unit For HV Battery

High voltage at the E-box
- Danger of electric shock from live parts
- Risk of serious burns or death
→ Work on the HV battery control unit may only be carried out by a high-voltage technician.
→ Always use insulated tools when working on the HV battery control unit.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage vehicle electrical system.
- Unscrew the eight fastening screws -1- on the E-box cover and remove it.
- Loosen the two fastening screws -2- on the service disconnector mounting.
- Cut tie-wrap -arrow- for the electric line.
- Release and unplug the three electric connectors -1, 2, 3- on the HV battery control unit.
- Unscrew the two fastening screws -3- from the HV battery control unit using the TORX Screwdriver Set VAS 6633 WE 1382 .
- Lift up the HV battery control unit and release and unplug the electric connectors -4- and -5- .
- Lift the HV battery control unit out of the E-box.
- To replace the control unit, release and unplug the electric connector -6- on the HV battery control unit and remove it together with the HV battery wire harness.
