Installing Control Unit For HV Battery

High voltage at the E-box
- Danger of electric shock from live parts
- Risk of serious burns or death
→ Work on the HV battery control unit may only be carried out by a high-voltage technician.
→ Always use insulated tools when working on the HV battery control unit.
→ Observe general warning notes for working on the high-voltage vehicle electrical system.
- Plug in electric connector -6- with the HV battery wire harness at the control unit until the connector engages securely.
- Insert the HV battery control unit into the E-box and plug in both connectors -4- and -5- until they engage securely.
- Position HV battery control unit in the E-box.
- Secure the ground strap (cable shoe) to the HV battery control unit in the E-box.
- 4.1. Secure the HV battery control unit and ground strap using the two fastening screws -3- and the TORX Screwdriver Set VAS 6633 WE 1382 .
- Secure the service disconnector mounting with the two fastening screws -2- .
- Plug electric connectors -1, 2, 3- into the HV battery control unit until the connectors engage securely.
- Fit tie-wrap for the electric line -arrow- .
- Before positioning the E-box cover, check the line routing of the HV battery wire harness from the E-box.
- 8.1. The rubber sleeve -arrow- on the wire harness must be engaged properly in the E-box housing.
- Fit E-box cover and secure with the eight fastening screws -1- .
