Installing Starter

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayenne, and 2014 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Information 

  1. Pull the line carefully downwards -A-  and insert the starter -B-  . Turn the starter if necessary -C-  .

  2. Lift the starter forwards and screw in fastening screw -8-  but do not tighten it.
  3. Screw in the fastening screw -6-  on the transmission side and tighten the two fastening screws on the starter. → Tightening Torque: 75 Nm (56 ft. lb.)  , → Tightening Torque: 75 Nm (56 ft. lb.)

  4. Insert the holder -A-  and screw on the fastening nuts -5-  , but do not tighten them.
  5. Screw in and tighten the fastening screw -4-  , then tighten the fastening nuts -5-  .
  6. Place the protective tube in installation position -B-  and secure with the fastening screw -3-  .

  7. Connect the line to the threaded bolt -A-  and secure with the fastening nut -2-  . → Tightening Torque: 8 Nm (6 ft. lb.) 
  8. Fit protection cap -3-  (-A-  ).
  9. Connect the line to the B+ connection -B-  and secure with the fastening nut -1-  . → Tightening Torque: 15 Nm (11 ft. lb.) 
  10. Fit protection cap on the B+ connection -C-  .

  11. Place heat protection cover around solenoid switch -A-  and secure with the press-studs -B-  .

  12. Secure the line with the fastening screw -7-  .
