Preliminary Work

  1. Observe warning notes. → 2X00IN GENERAL WARNING NOTES FOR WORKING ON THE HIGH-VOLTAGE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
  2. Isolate the high-voltage system from the power supply and complete the relevant documentation. → 2X00IN ISOLATING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FROM POWER SUPPLY/STARTING HIGH-VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM (AFES)
  3. Remove high-voltage battery. → INSTALLING HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERY  - section on "Removing"
  4. Set up a High-Voltage Cordon WE 1589  around the high-voltage workstation.
