Group 19, Cooling

  2. Seal; fitted in pump
  3. Screw, M6 x 25 => For details of tightening sequence, see below → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)

  1. Heating coolant pipe
  2. Screw, M6 → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.) 
  3. Sealing ring
  4. Screw plug, M16 x 1.5 → Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) 
  5. Screw, M6 → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.) 
  6. Coolant guide tube (collection pipe)
  7. Sheetmetal seal
  8. Stopper

  1. Thermostat housing
  2. Screw, M6 x 25 → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.) 
  3. Screw, M6 x 25; screwed to fuel high-pressure distributor pipe => see relevant section
  4. Seal for thermostat housing; replace
  5. Thermostat insert; including electric heating element

  1. Connection piece on generator
  2. Screw for connection piece → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 
  3. Screw, M6 x 20 → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 
  4. Coolant return line
  5. Coolant return hose assembly
  6. Holder
  7. Screw, M6 Aluminum screw  ; always use new aluminum screws → Initial tightening: 4 Nm (3 ftlb.)  and → Final tightening: 90° 
  8. Clip

  1. Connection piece on generator
  2. Screw for connection piece → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 
  3. Screw, M6 x 20 → Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 
  4. Coolant return line
  5. Coolant return hose assembly
  6. Holder
  7. Screw, M6 Aluminum screw  ; always use new aluminum screws → Initial tightening: 4 Nm (3 ftlb.)  and → Final tightening: 90° 
  8. Clip
