Lower Timing Chain Cover/Tightening Torque And Tightening Sequence

Replace screws that are tightened to an additional torque angle.

Tighten screws in 8 steps as follows:

Step	Screws	Tightening torque/torque angle
1.	Arrows Replace aluminum screws with steel screws	9 Nm (6.5 ftlb.)
2.	1... 10	3 Nm (2 ftlb.) in diagonally opposite sequence
3.	1, 2, 4, 5, 7	Turn 90° further
4.	8, 9, 10	8 Nm (6 ftlb.)
5.	8, 9, 10	Turn 90° further
6.	3	16 Nm (12 ftlb.)
7.	6	20 Nm (15 ftlb.)
8.	6	Turn 90° further
