Allocation Of Crankshaft Bearing Shells For Guide Frame

Bearing shells of the correct thickness are allocated to the guide frame at the factory. Colored dots on the side of the bearing shell are used to indicate bearing shell thickness.
The correct allocation of bearing shells to guide frame is indicated by a sequence of letters on the transmission flange of the crankshaft. The first letter in the sequence stands for bearing "1", the second letter for bearing "2", etc.
