Supporting Engine On Mounting Bracket

Risk of squashing or crushing

→ Secure components to prevent them from falling down.

Lifting tackle 2024 A must be engaged on the engine suspension eyelet and on the workshop hoist VAS 6100 WE 1188 as shown.

Take up some of the weight of the engine with the workshop hoist, but do not raise the engine.
Unscrew nuts -arrow- for engine mountings at the left and right.

Lift engine off engine carrier.
Unscrew screws -arrows- and remove engine support on the left.

Unscrew screws and remove engine support on the right.

Secure engine with bracket -VAS 6095/1-5- on the bracket for V6 TDI engine VAS 6095/1-4 WE 1337 Mobile Assembly Station WE 1323 as shown. → Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ftlb.)
