Removing Selector Support

Information 

Position N is marked by an arrow on the selector support.

  1. Remove insulating material on selector support. → Insulating material on selector support

    Information 

    Do not apply lateral forces to the pull rod as it could break off.

  2. Unclip fixing clip -2-  on wire harness for selector support from the center console -1-  (-arrow-  ).

  3. Release electric plug connection -1-  for the selector support -a  and pull it off -arrow-  .

  4. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  for the selector support -3-  from the center console -1-  .

  5. Pull the selector support as far as possible out of the center console.
  6. Remove the clamp -1-  on the selector lever cable connection -A-  .

    NOTE: The fastening screw for the selector lever cable must not be loosened by more than one turn.
    • Otherwise, the screw will fall into the selector support and the selector support will have to be replaced.

    → The fastening screw for the selector lever cable must not be loosened by more than one turn.

  7. Loosen the fastening screw in opening -3-  next to the emergency release -4-  for connecting the selector lever cable -2-  and selector support -1-  by 180° using a 5-mm Allen key, approx. 15 cm long  .

  8. Remove selector support.
