Checking Oil For All-Wheel Final Drive

→ Wear personal protective gear.

Information

Vehicle must be horizontal to check oil level in all-wheel final drive .

Unscrew oil inspection plug -A- using tool Special Inserts Model AB 170 .

The oil level is correct if the oil reaches the lower edge of the inspection window.
If this is not the case, top up the oil. → TOPPING UP OIL FOR ALL-WHEEL FINAL DRIVE - section on "Topping up"
Screw in oil inspection plug -A- with a new sealing ring. To do this, use special tool Special Inserts Model AB 170 and Accessory For Torque Wrench: Open Ring Wrench Insert, a/f 13 + Adapter 98-1 . → Tightening torque: 35 Nm (26 ft. lb.)
