Installing Air Cleaner Housing

  1. Insert the air cleaner housing into the engine compartment at an angle from above. → Air cleaner housing

  2. Guide the two retaining bolts on the underside into the take-up bores in the body -arrows-  . From the wheel housing, check to make sure that the blue rubber washers are present and make sure that the bolts are fitted properly.

  3. Tighten the fastening screw -arrow-  on the air cleaner housing. → Tightening Torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)

  4. Insert air-cleaner element. → REPLACING AIR-CLEANER ELEMENT  - section on "Replacing"
  5. Fit the cover -1-  of the air-cleaner box using the side guides -2-  on the air cleaner housing -3-  .

    1. 5.1. Slide the cover down -A-  .
    2. 5.2. The guides -4-  on the cover must fit into the mountings -5-  on the air cleaner housing.
  6. Fold the cover -1-  up towards the air cleaner housing -2-  (-A-  ).

  7. Clip in the two upper fastening clamps -arrows-  on the air cleaner housing.

  8. Slide the intake port into the cover of the air cleaner housing.

    Push the bolts fully into the mountings and turn them 180° → Securing connections on air cleaner  .

  9. Insert the air guide into the air cleaner housing. → INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER - section on "Installing"
