Installing Spark Plugs

NOTE: Broken spark plug electrodes
  • Bits of electrodes can fall into the combustion chamber

→ Only check electrode gap of spark plugs, but do not bend them.

→ Spark plugs with an incorrect electrode gap must be replaced.

Information 

  1. Check electrode gap. → Nominal value: 0.9 mm → Maximum value: 1.1 mm → Electrode gap of spark plug in V6 engine

  2. Tighten spark plugs using special tool Spark Plug Wrench 3122 B  . → Tightening Torque: 20 Nm (15 ft. lb.) → Tightening spark plugs using spark plug wrench
