- Screws Replace → Initial Tightening: 50 Nm (37 ft. lb.) → Final Tightening: +90°
- Oil thread and contact surface
- Use old screw to measure radial clearance, tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lb.) but do not tighten further.
- Connecting-Rod Bearing Cap
- Mark for re-installation
- Mark cylinder allocation with paint/colored marker
- Bearing Shells
- Check that retaining lugs are seated securely
- Mark used bearing shells for re-installation, but not on the running surface.
- Oversize bearing shells are available for re-machined crankshaft con-rod journals
- Connecting-rod bearing lugs are aligned

- Heat stiff pistons to approx. 60°C

- Mark installation position and allocation to cylinder

- Offset gap by 120°
- Installation position: "TOP" marking or side with lettering towards piston crown
