Installing Radiator

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayenne, and 2014 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Information 

Replace sealing rings, seals and O-rings.

Do not open the air conditioning system if at all possible when Removing The Radiator Module  . Do not bend the lines.

Do not bend the lines when Installing The Radiator Module  .

Information 

A second person is required for removing and installing the radiator.

  1. Carefully push in the radiator from above.

  2. Secure the power-steering cooler. To do this, push the power-steering cooler from left to right into the holder -1-  and then clip the lines into the holder -2-  .
  3. Clip ATF cooler -5-  into the radiator bracket.

  4. Secure air guide → Unscrewing fastening screws  . → INSTALLING CENTRE AIR GUIDE  - section on "Installing"

  5. Slide the holders into the rubber sleeve for the radiator at the left and right sides -arrows-  .

  6. Install both holders -arrows-  at the left and right of the radiator.
  7. Tighten fastening screws -6-  . Tightening Torque 5 Nm (3.5 ft. lb.)
  8. Tighten fastening screws -7 and 8 -  . Tightening Torque 25 Nm (19 ft. lb.)

  9. Position the holder and tighten the fastening screw -5-  used to secure the holder for the power-steering cooler lines.
  10. Fit coolant hose -2-  on the radiator -3-  and lock safety clip -1-  .

  11. Fit refrigerant lines -A-  on the radiator.

  12. Fit holder -2-  with ATF lines connected -3-  and tighten screw -1-  .

  13. Secure coolant line holder -arrow -  .

  14. Slide breather hose -2-  onto the right side of the radiator and fit hose clamp.

  15. Push on coolant hose -1-  and then slide on the safety clip for the adapter. The safety clip must lock with an audible click.
