Removing Pipes For Engine Oil Cooler

Remove return pipe for engine oil cooler:

Drain coolant. → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT (INCLUDES BLEEDING)
Remove electric air-conditioning compressor. → 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR
Place a drip tray under the engine.
WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.
Disconnect coolant hose -arrow- from the engine oil cooler and drain coolant.

Remove coolant pipe.
1. 5.1. Unscrew screws -1- and -2- for the coolant pipes. Loosen hose clamp -3- .
2. 5.2. Swivel the coolant pipe slightly to the left -arrow- and pull it off the upper coolant pipe.

  Remove supply pipe for engine oil cooler:
Support the engine.
Unscrew fastening screw on the engine mounting and lift the engine slightly.
Unscrew screws -arrows- and remove engine support on the left.

WARNING:

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.
Pull the coolant hose off the engine oil cooler, unscrew fastening screws -2- and remove the coolant pipe.
