Removing Coolant Regulator Housing

- Loosen clamps -arrows-
and pull off coolant hoses -1 -
and -2-

- 1.1. Soak up emerging coolant with a cloth.
- Loosen the vent line on the cylinder heads.
- 2.1. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1- .
- 2.2. Remove vent line -2- .
- Remove wiring harness screws on the cylinder heads and at the water guide and loosen the wiring harness. → see Fig 4
- Disconnect coolant pipe -4-
, pull it forward and set it aside.
- 4.1. Unscrew screw -3- and pull off coolant pipe -4- .
- 4.2. Soak up emerging coolant with a cloth.
- Unscrew the screws on the coolant regulator housing -2- and loosen coolant regulator housing -1- by pulling it upwards. The coolant pipe -1- (bottom figure) remains fitted in the coolant regulator housing.
- Remove the two coolant hoses from the coolant pipe behind the cable duct (figure shows several coolant hoses). → Coolant line Remove coolant regulator housing with coolant pipe.
- Disconnect coolant regulator housing and coolant pipe if necessary. Replace sealing rings.
