Removing Additional Coolant Pump

Information

Cover the engine .
For this work, the worker must lie on the engine .
The additional coolant pump is difficult to reach .

Cover the intake-air distributor with covers.
Expose the engine wire harness.
1. 2.1. Cut tie-wrap -1- and open the clip -2- .
2. 2.2. Unscrew fastening screws -3- and remove engine wire harness holder -4- .

Disconnect additional coolant pump.
1. 3.1. Unclip hose holder -1- .
2. 3.2. Loosen fastening nut -2- and remove cable holder -3- .
3. 3.3. Unscrew fastening screws -4- .

Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.
Disconnect coolant hoses and cable plug.
1. 4.1. Loosen clamps -1- and pull off coolant hoses.
2. 4.2. Pull off cable plugs -2- .
3. 4.3. Remove additional coolant pump with holder -3- .
