Bleeding The Low-Temperature Cooling System Using The PIWIS Tester

The PIWIS Tester II 9818 instructions take precedence and in the event of a discrepancy these are the instructions that must be followed. Deviations may occur with later software versions.
Information
The coolant low-temperature system must be bled using the PIWIS Tester in the following situations:
- Components of the low-temperature system are removed or replaced .
- The reservoir for the low-temperature system is empty .
- Bleed the coolant low-temperature system using PIWIS Tester II 9818
.
- 1.1. Switch on ignition.
- 1.2. In the [Additional menu/F7], select menu item [Veh. functions/F7] and confirm your selection.
- 1.3. Select the [Bleed low-temperature cooling system] test.
- 1.4. Start the bleeding process by pressing [F8].
- 1.5. If the coolant level is dropping, correct it by adding coolant.
Do this using the connected filling tool.
- 1.6. The bleeding process ends automatically.
- Remove coolant filling tool.
- Check the coolant level of the low-temperature system in the coolant reservoir.
- 3.1. Fill in coolant until the engine coolant level in the reservoir is slightly above the Max display.
- Test-drive the vehicle and then check the engine coolant level in the reservoir.
