WARNING:
Vehicle is lowered when air line is loosened
- Risk of squashing
→ When loosening the pressure control valve, raise the vehicle on a lifting platform.
→ Only leave the vehicle on the lifting platform until a new pressure control valve is installed and the air-spring strut is filled.
Information
- The pictures shown in this document may differ from the original .
The pressure control valve can only be replaced if:
- Pressure control valve
- Socket insert
- it was damaged during removal and installation,
- it was damaged while disassembling and assembling the air-spring strut,
- the sealing ring is faulty,
- it does not allow any more air to come out (valve jammed).
Information
It must not be compressed using an empty convoluted air bellows.
If the pressure control valve is jammed, the vehicle must be raised on the lifting platform to facilitate replacement and the wheels must be allowed to turn freely.
NOTE:
Escaping residual air
- Risk of eye injuries
→ Wear protective goggles.
- Carefully bleed the residual pressure from the air-spring strut by hand if necessary. To do this, push the valve lifter open slightly using a 5-mm Allen key.
