→ Before working on the high-voltage electrical system and carrying out any repair work to the body, a high-voltage technician must switch off the power to the system.

→ All work on vehicles with a high-voltage electrical system may only be carried out by electrically instructed persons. The work must be done under the instruction of a high-voltage technician.

Information 

The sequence of the individual maintenance tasks has been tested and optimized. The allowed times are achieved if this sequence is followed. 

Maintenance after:
60, 000, 120, 000, 180, 000, 240, 000 km etc./
40, 000, 80, 000, 120, 000, 160, 000 miles etc.

1 Electrics   
1.1 Windscreen wiper/washer system, headlight cleaning system: check function and nozzle settings → 0X03IN ELECTRICS MAINTENANCE: CHECKING WINDSCREEN WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM  
1.2 Horn: check operation  
1.3 Tires and spare wheel: check tire pressure → 0X03IN RUNNING GEAR MAINTENANCE: TIRES AND SPARE WHEEL: CHECKING CONDITION AND TYRE PRESSURE  
1.4 Diagnostic system: read out fault memory and transfer gear wear integrator; reset maintenance interval  
2 Vehicle, interior   
2.1 Seat belts: check operation and condition → 0X01IN CHECKING SEAT BELTS  
2.2 Particle filter: replace filter element → 0X03IN AIR CONDITIONING MAINTENANCE: PARTICLE FILTER - REPLACING FILTER ELEMENT  
3 Vehicle, exterior   
3.1 Check wiper blades → 0X03IN ELECTRICS MAINTENANCE: CHECKING WINDSCREEN WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM  
3.2 All headlights: check adjustment → 0X03IN ELECTRICS MAINTENANCE: CHECKING THE FUNCTION OF THE VEHICLE'S LIGHTS  
3.3 Trailer hitch: check function → 0X01IN TRAILER HITCH MAINTENANCE: CHECKING FUNCTION  
3.4 Tires and spare wheel: check condition → 0X03IN RUNNING GEAR MAINTENANCE: TIRES AND SPARE WHEEL: CHECKING CONDITION AND TYRE PRESSURE  
3.5 Brake system: visual inspection of brake pads and brake discs for wear→ 0X03IN RUNNING GEAR MAINTENANCE: VISUAL INSPECTION - BRAKE LINES/BRAKE PADS/BRAKE DISCS  
3.6 Brake hoses: visual inspection for damage and routing→ 0X03IN RUNNING GEAR MAINTENANCE: VISUAL INSPECTION - BRAKE LINES/BRAKE PADS/BRAKE DISCS  
3.7 Radiators and air intakes: visual inspection for external contamination and blockage  
3.8 Lubricate door arrester and fastening bolts  
4 Vehicle, underneath   
4.1 Underbody panels: visual inspection for completeness, secure installation and damage  
4.2 Drain engine oil and change oil filter (please observe oil change service plan for all Cayenne models)  
4.3 Visual inspection for leaks (oils and other fluids)  
4.4 Brake lines: visual inspection for damage, routing and corrosion  
4.5 Steering gear: visual inspection of the bellows for damage  
4.6 Tie rod joints: check play and dust bellows  
4.7 Drive shafts: visual inspection of the boots for leaks and damage  
4.8 Cardan shaft: visual inspection of the rubber bellows for damage  
4.9 Axle joints: check the play and visually inspect the dust bellows for damage  
4.10 Exhaust system: visual inspection for leaks and damage, check engine mount  
5 Engine compartment   
5.1 Fill in engine oil (please observe oil change service plan for all Cayenne models)  
5.2 Replace fuel filter (Cayenne Diesel only)  
5.2 Fuel lines and connections: visual inspection (in visible area)  
5.3 Visual inspection for leaks (oils and other fluids)  
5.4 Coolant: check level and antifreeze  
5.5 Check drive belt (only for off-road driving)  
5.6 Windscreen wiper/washer system: check fluid level; check window cleaner and antifreeze, depending on the season  
5.7 PDCC and power steering: check fluid level  
6 Luggage compartment   
5.1 Check and add reducing agent AdBlue® (only for Cayenne Diesel USA/CDN)  
Test drive: 
Remote control, front seats, electric parking brake and footbrake (also actuation travel), engine, clutch, steering, transmission, ParkAssist, cruise control, PSM switch, heating, sports exhaust system, air conditioning and instruments: check operation
 
Oils, fluids: visual inspection for leaks
