Installing Vacuum Pump

- Fit the sealing ring -1- at the correct position in the vacuum pump so that it is flush with the lower edge of the chamfer in the rotor.
- Align the rotor according to the marking you made -arrows-

- Once you have inserted the vacuum pump, it must not be pulled back any more. Otherwise, you will have to check the sealing ring again to ensure that it is seated correctly.
- Insert the vacuum pump -3-
with the seal -4-
evenly into the fitting bores of the cover piece -1-

Information
Check the position of the screws and the screw length when removing and installing the vacuum pump. The screw at the top right in direction of travel is short, the other two screws are long.
- Fit the vacuum pump -3-
using three screws -2-
. Use the wooden block again if necessary when tightening the lower screw.
Fastening screws securing vacuum pump to plenum panel wall: Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) +/-1 Nm (+/- 0.5 ftlb.) .
- Fit the vacuum line and check that the vacuum line is seated correctly.
- Fit center cross panel -3-

- 6.1. Insert cross panel in installation position.
- 6.2. Fit fastening screws -1- and nuts -2- .
- 6.3. Clip lines -4- into the brackets -5- .
