Removing (Mechanical) Vacuum Pump

  1. Unclip rear engine cover and remove it from the engine.

    The mechanical vacuum pump is located at the front left of the cylinder head → Installation position of vacuum pump  .

  2. Loosen the fastening screw -2-  and move the line bracket -1-  and lines aside so that the fastening screws on the vacuum pump are easily accessible.
  3. Pull the vacuum line -5-  off the vacuum pump.

    Information 

    • When removing the vacuum pump, always check that the rotor of the vacuum pump is not twisted when taking it out. Mark the position of the rotor immediately after removal with a marker, for example. 
  4. Loosen three fastening screws -4-  on the vacuum pump -3-  and remove the vacuum pump.
