Installing (Mechanical) Vacuum Pump

  1. Replace the vacuum pump seal. Fit the new seal at the correct position on the vacuum pump.
  2. Align the rotor of the vacuum pump according to the marking you made.
  3. Insert the vacuum pump with the seal evenly into the fitting bores of the cylinder head.
  4. Fit the vacuum pump using the three fastening screws.
  5. Fit the vacuum line and check that the vacuum line is seated correctly.
