Installing Oil Pan

WARNING:

- Risk of eye injuries
→ Wear protective goggles.
NOTE:
Residual sealant
- Oil bores blocked
→ Ensure that they are cleaned thoroughly and that any remaining sealant is removed completely.
- Remove sealant residue from upper and lower parts of oil pan using a rotating plastic brush.
- 1.1. Sealing surfaces must be free of oil and grease.
- Cut off the nozzle on the tube at the front marking (nozzle diameter is approx. 1 mm).
- Apply a bead of sealant -arrow-
to the clean sealing surface on the lower part of the oil pan as shown.
Information
The component must be installed and secured within five minutes of applying sealant.
Sealant bead thickness: approx. 1.5 mm .
Check use-by date of sealant .
- Fit lower part of oil pan and tighten screws.
- Further installation is performed in reverse order.
