Installing Oil Pan

  1. Apply a bead of sealant sealant 000.043.300.39  to the oil pan.

    Sealing surfaces must be clean and free of grease  .

    NOTE: Oil pump suction line blocked
    • Risk of engine damage

    → The bead of sealing compound must not be thicker than → Diameter: 3 mm  .

    Guide the bead of sealant past the inside of the screw holes -arrows-  .

  2. Fit oil pan on the crankcase and tighten fastening screws in numerical order (1... 25). → Tightening torque: 12 Nm (9 ftlb.)

    Information 

    • After fitting the oil pan, the sealant must be allowed to dry for approx. 30 minutes  .
    • Then fill in engine oil  .
  3. Fill in engine oil of the stipulated viscosity and quality and check the oil level.→ 170117 CHANGING ENGINE OIL AND OIL FILTER
