Performing measurement 5

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayenne, and 2014 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Preliminary work for measurement 5:

  1. Remove front wheel housing liner trim panel at the left. → 505619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER
  2. Release and disconnect high-voltage connector on front PTC.

  6. Perform measurement 5.2.
    1. 6.1. Setpoint value: > 550 MOhm
  7. Evaluate the test results  .
    1. 7.1. If the specified measured values from measurement 5.1 are not within the tolerance range and the specified measured values from measurement 5.2 are within the tolerance range:
      1. 7.1.1. Insulation fault in high-voltage line from high-voltage charger to front PTC.
      2. 7.1.2. Replace high-voltage line from high-voltage charger to front PTC following consultation with Technical Support. → Installing High-Voltage Line From Battery To Power Electronics
    2. 7.2. If the specified measured values from measurement 5.2 are not within the tolerance range and the specified measured values from measurement 5.1 are within the tolerance range:
      1. 7.2.1. Insulation fault in front PTC.
      2. 7.2.2. Replace front PTC following consultation with Technical Support. → Installing Electric Passenger Compartment Heater
    3. 7.3. The measured values from both measurements are not within  the tolerance range.
      1. 7.3.1. Repeat the measurements.
      2. 7.3.2. Check measuring equipment and repeat the measurements.
      3. 7.3.3. Contact Technical Support.
    4. 7.4. The measured values from both measurements are within  the tolerance range.
      1. 7.4.1. Repeat the measurements.
      2. 7.4.2. Check measuring equipment and repeat the measurements.
      3. 7.4.3. Contact Technical Support.
