Performing Measurement 9

Preliminary work for measurement 9:

-1- = cable shoe on high-voltage line from PE to HV battery
-2- = 2 = HV connection from PE to air-conditioning compressor
-3- = 3-phase wiring to electric machine

Unscrew and remove 3-phase high-voltage line from power electronics unit. → 279119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING POWER ELECTRONICS FOR HIGH-VOLTAGE SYSTEM

Connect high-voltage test adapter High-voltage test adapter HVA 280 WE 1585 to the power electronics unit. Leave the second connection on the test adapter open.

Perform measurement 8.2.
1. 3.1. Setpoint value: > 2.4 MOhm
Measurement 9.2:

Hold both measuring tips of the insulation tester WE 1379 at one of the three terminal shoes -1- and at the insulation -2- on the 3-phase high-voltage line.

Perform measurement 9.2.
1. 5.1. Setpoint value: > 550 MOhm
Evaluate the test results .
1. 6.1. If the specified measured values from measurement 9.1 are not within the tolerance range and the specified measured values from measurement 9.2 are within the tolerance range:
  1. 6.1.1. Insulation fault in power electronics.
  2. 6.1.2. Replace power electronics following consultation with Technical Support. → Installing Fuse For Power Electronics Unit
2. 6.2. If the specified measured values from measurement 9.2 are not within the tolerance range and the specified measured values from measurement 9.1 are within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 10 .
3. 6.3. The measured values from both measurements are not within the tolerance range.
  1. 6.3.1. Repeat the measurements.
  2. 6.3.2. Check measuring equipment and repeat the measurements.
  3. 6.3.3. Contact Technical Support.
4. 6.4. The measured values from both measurements are within the tolerance range.
  1. 6.4.1. Repeat the measurements.
  2. 6.4.2. Check measuring equipment and repeat the measurements.
  3. 6.4.3. Contact Technical Support.
