Performing Measurement 1

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2018 Porsche Cayenne, 2017 Porsche Cayenne, 2016 Porsche Cayenne, 2015 Porsche Cayenne, and 2014 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Preliminary work for measurement 1:

  1. Remove luggage compartment cover. → 700619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRIM PANEL FOR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT (LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT COVER)
  2. Release high-voltage connector HVR 40 from the high-voltage battery and disconnect it.

  6. Perform measurement 1.2.
    1. 6.1. Setpoint value: > 2.4 MOhm
  7. Evaluate the test results  .
    1. 7.1. If the specified measured values from measurement 1.1 are not within the tolerance range and the specified measured values from measurement 1.2 are within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 2  .
    2. 7.2. If the specified measured values from measurement 1.2 are not within the tolerance range and the specified measured values from measurement 1.1 are within the tolerance range, continue with measurement 6  .
    3. 7.3. The measured values from both measurements are not within  the tolerance range.
      1. 7.3.1. Repeat the measurements.
      2. 7.3.2. Check measuring equipment and repeat the measurements.
      3. 7.3.3. Follow both paths for measurement 1.1 and measurement 1.2.
      4. 7.3.4. Contact Technical Support.
    4. 7.4. The measured values from both measurements are within  the tolerance range.
      1. 7.4.1. Insulation fault in high-voltage battery.
      2. 7.4.2. Check the VAL again to determine whether an insulation fault is present. If an insulation fault is indicated, carry out classification of the HV battery and contact Technical Support.
