CAUTION:
- Damage can result from Pentosin getting into the surrounding area (e.g. onto the coolant hoses) when the hydraulic hoses are loosened (opened).
→ Avoid all contact with Pentosin.
→ Collect emerging Pentosin in a suitable container.
→ Wear protective goggles when carrying out overhead work on lines with Pentosin!
→ Wear protective gloves!
→ If coolant hoses come into contact with Pentosin, clean them thoroughly with water IMMEDIATELY.
NOTE:
Dirt in the hydraulic system can damage the system.
- Ensure absolute cleanliness at all times!
- Close off the openings of hoses, lines and units using suitable stoppers.
- Replace visibly swollen coolant hoses!
- The reservoir must always be replaced if individual or multiple components are replaced.
- Only use Pentosin 202 to fill the hydraulic system.
- Open the cap on the power-steering reservoir.
- Release and unplug the two electric connectors on the hydraulic pump.
- Place a suitable collecting pan underneath. Disconnect the pressure line -1- at the connection point and drain Pentosin.
- Loosen two M6 fastening nuts -2- at the front and rear of the hydraulic pump. The nuts must not be unscrewed fully.
- Remove the hydraulic pump.
- 5.1. Carefully remove the hydraulic pump to the side by turning it and secure it so that it cannot fall down.
- 5.2. Loosen the spring band clamp -3- using clamping pliers and pull the suction hose -4- off the connection at the hydraulic pump.
