  1. If a new control unit has to be installed, the values and codings must be read out using the 2nd generation PIWIS Tester 9818  prior to removing the "old" height adjustment control unit. → 483055 REPLACING CONTROL UNIT FOR HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT .
  2. Remove steering column. → 481519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING STEERING COLUMN  .
