Removing Trim Panel For Rear Lid

Open the tailgate (rear lid).
Remove lower part of rear trim panel.
1. 2.1. Open lid of warning triangle storage compartment -A- .

2. 2.2. Remove warning triangle.
3. 2.3. Unscrew fastening screws -1- under the loop for securing the warning triangle.

4. 2.4. Unclip two luggage compartment lamps -1- using a screwdriver.

5. 2.5. Release electric plug connection for luggage compartment lamps -2- at the side of the connector -a- and disconnect it -B- .

6. 2.6. Unscrew fastening screws -3- in the two finger plates.

7. 2.7. Only with power tailgate closing facility:
  Unclip switch for power tailgate closing. To do this, grasp the luggage compartment lamp through the opening and press the switch out from the rear.
8. 2.8. Only with power tailgate closing facility:
  Disconnect electric plug connection -a- .

9. 2.9. Unclip the clips -4- for the lock cover -5- using a plastic wedge and pull them off in direction of arrow.

10. 2.10. Carefully unclip the clips for the lower part of the trim panel -6- at the marked areas using a suitable tool.

11. 2.11. Remove lower part of trim panel by pulling it downwards.
