Removing Rear Door Panel

Information

Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle .
Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well .

Pull door opener and unclip the cover on the door opener -1- using a plastic wedge.

Unscrew and remove fastening screws -2 and 3- from the door panel.

Unclip the door panel all the way around and swivel the bottom outwards.
On vehicles with sun blind .
The push rod for the sun blind cannot be disassembled .
1. 4.1. Open the sun blind flap and pull sun blind with push rod up fully.
2. 4.2. Pull door panel with the sun blind open up out of the sealing channel and guide.
Swivel trim panel inwards, release electric plug connection -a- and disconnect it from the door control unit.

Disconnect electric plug connection for tweeter in the rear door.

Disengage cable for door opener.

1. 7.1. Spread locking lugs outwards -A- .
2. 7.2. Remove cable by pulling it to the rear out of the guide -2- (-B- ).
3. 7.3. Swivel cable in direction of arrow -C- until the driver at the front is free.
4. 7.4. Remove the driver from the door opener -D- .
Remove door panel.
