Adjusting The Dashboard

Information

There must be an even transition between the dashboard and the door panels. The dashboard should be centered in the vehicle so that the gaps with respect to the door panels are the same width on both sides .

Check the installation position of the dashboard. To do this, check the gap dimension and height difference between the dashboard -1- and door panels -2- visually and adjust the dashboard if necessary.

If the gap dimension and height difference are not correct, the difference by which the dashboard is set incorrectly must be noted. The dashboard bracket will be adjusted horizontally and vertically by this difference later.
Remove dashboard. → 701819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DASHBOARD
Loosen all fastening screws and fastening nuts used to secure the dashboard bracket to the body. → 516819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DASHBOARD BRACKET
Adjust the dashboard bracket horizontally and vertically according to the noted values so that it is positioned correctly.
Check gap dimensions and height differences again.
Tighten all fastening screws and fastening nuts used to secure the dashboard bracket to the body. → 516819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DASHBOARD BRACKET
Check the gap dimension and height difference -arrows- between the dashboard -1- and door panels -2- again.
