Installing Vibration Damper

Information 

• Replace screws for vibration damper  .
• The screw thread and crankshaft flange thread must not be greased  .
• Clean the thread on the crankshaft flange to remove grease  .

1. 1.1. Position vibration damper -1-  on the crankshaft flange.

   Check The Position Of The Dowel Pin  .

2. 1.2. Fix vibration damper in place with Locating Pin 9595/1 -4-  .
3. 1.3. Fit new fastening screws -2-  evenly in diagonally opposite sequence.

4. 1.4. Tightening Step 1:  Tighten fastening screws uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence to Initial Tightening 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.)  .
5. 1.5. Tightening Step 2:  Use special tool Electronic Torque Wrench, 2 - 100 Nm/1.5 - 74 ft. lbs. 9768  to tighten the fastening screws to Torque angle 90°  .
6. 1.6. Remove locating pin.
