Installing Flywheel For Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Information 

Before re-installing the flywheel, clean the friction surface of the flywheel using a clean, lint-free cloth soaked in acetone or solvent naphtha).

1. Remove protective wax on new parts with acetone or solvent naphtha.
2. Position the flywheel on the crankshaft dowel pin and press it onto the crankshaft flange.
3. Fit ten new fastening screws and tighten uniformly in diagonally opposite sequence.
4. Fit counter-hold tool on the transmission flange.
5. Tighten screws uniformly and in diagonally opposite sequence to the prescribed tightening torque.

   Tool Recommendation: Torque/Torque Angle Screw Tool WE 1440 

   1. 5.1. Set the tightening torque -1-  and torque angle -2-  on the tool.

   2. 5.2. Tighten fastening screws according to tightening specifications.
      1. 5.2.1. Tightening Step 1: Initial Tightening 25 Nm (19 ft. lbs.) 
      2. 5.2.2. Tightening Step 2: Torque Angle 120° 
6. Remove counter-hold tool.
