Preparing Roof Pillar For Installation

Fit in new part and secure it to the body. Check gap dimensions. → 5X00IN41 GAP DIMENSIONS

1.1. Cut the roof pillar at the transition points to the body, leaving an overlap of 30 mm.
1.2. Fit in the roof pillar.
1.3. Make cuts through the roof pillar and body in the overlap areas.

1.4. Drill holes -A- for plug-welding using inert gas using a twist drill Nr.201 (diameter: 8.0 mm).

Red	Plug-welding/apply a full weld using inert gas without bonding
Orange	Bonding + resistance spot-welding
